Training Design, Evaluation
Using either a cable winch or an auto tow the glider is "kited" to an altitude where free flight is possible. This form of launch is most common in Europe. It is much less expensive than aero tow, and a lot more exciting. Quite often though, there is just enough altitude to practice a landing.
