Glider Ride (Passenger's point of view)

Words by King Povenmire To the tune of "The old Chisolm Trail"

Come along people, no reason to hide
I'll tell you 'bout my glider ride

Chorus: Come-aTi Yi Yippy Yippy Yay Yippy Yay,
Come-a Ti Yi Yippy Yippy Yay.

Got in the glider with a kid named Sam.
I asked if he's a pilot, he said "I am!"

Chorus:

Tied by a rope to a big biplane.
That great big engine is a-raisin' cain.

Chorus:

A cloud of dust and we take flight.
I grab onto somethin' and hold on tight

Chorus:

The plane up ahead is jerkin' around.
The kid in the back makes an awful sound.

Chorus:

I hold on tighter and give up all hope
when the Plane up ahead lets go the rope.

Chorus:

We looped and rolled and spun around
and Ended up pointed straight toward the ground.

Chorus:

The screamin' in the back is gettin outa' hand.
We pulled up just in time to land

Chorus:

We hit pretty hard and skidded to a stop. I looked a-
Round at Sam, he was about to pop.

Chorus:

I said it was fun but it was over pretty quick.  He said
"IT WOULD'A  BEEN LONGER IF YOU'D-A LET GO THE STICK!"

Chorus:

So if you ever go for a glider flight
it's a lot more fun if you hold on tight.

Chorus:
